On September 26, an interactive safety lesson was held in Kokshetau. The event was organized by the Representative of the Commissioner for Human Rights in Akmola region together with the Police Department, local executive bodies, and the Department of Education, reports Esilnews.kz.

With the help of digital technologies, 518 schools and 28 colleges of the region joined the event online. As a result, about 40,000 schoolchildren and students were covered. Rural schools and educational institutions from remote districts also had the opportunity to participate.

During the lesson, young people received answers to questions about bullying, online fraud, dropper schemes, rules of safe behavior at home and on the street, threats of financial pyramids, and cybersecurity.

Police representatives cited real examples of offenses committed by teenagers, stressing that each such case may become a serious obstacle to career and employment prospects in the future.

«Knowing your rights means being protected, and understanding your duties means being responsible. Every offense has its consequences,» emphasized Gulnar Dzhanbekova, Representative of the Commissioner for Human Rights in Akmola region.

A separate block of the lesson focused on drug addiction: the dangers of synthetic drugs, «pharmacy» addiction, and criminal liability for drug-related offenses.

According to the organizers, interactive safety lessons in this updated format are planned to be held quarterly.

Teaching young people about the law from an early age means preventing mistakes in the future.
