In the Zhetysu garrison, during a scheduled combat training exercise in one of the airborne assault units, a tragic incident occurred. A violation of safety rules in handling weapons led to the death of a conscript soldier.
According to the press service of the Airborne Assault Forces of the Armed Forces of Kazakhstan, the gunshot wound sustained was incompatible with life.
A criminal case has been opened in connection with the incident, and investigative actions are underway. The Ministry of Defense emphasized that if negligence or official misconduct by responsible persons is identified, all those guilty will face the strictest liability in accordance with the law.
The case is under the special control of the Ministry of Defense. The leadership of the Armed Forces expressed sincere condolences to the family of the deceased soldier and assured that all necessary assistance will be provided to his relatives.
